Ingredients used in Shrimp Puralan
• Raw deveined shrimp - 1 cup.
• Shallots - 10 no.
• Vinegar - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder(or to taste) - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Black pepper powder(or to taste) - half teaspoons.
• Chilli powder(or to taste) - half teaspoons.
• Coriander powder(or to taste) - 3/4 teaspoons.
• Garam masala - 1 cup.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Curry leaves - 3 springs.
• Salt - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Oil - 1 1/2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Clean the raw shrimps and marinate it with all the powders (Coriander,chilli,pepper,turmeric powder, garam masala and salt) and vinegar and keep in the Refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Cut shallots finely, fry the shallots in hot oil.
  • Once it is is transparent, add ginger garlic and curry leaves and fry it for another 1 minute.
  • You can add a little salt at this point of time. Add the marinated shrimp, fry it for 7 minutes stirring it at intervals.

Serve with rice and enjoy!
