Ingredients used in Sorakaya garelu
• Curry leaves - 10 leaf.
• Salt - to taste.
• Sesame seeds - 25 grams.
• Green chilli - to taste.
• Moong dal (pesarapappu) soaked for 2 hrs - 50 grams.
• Sorakaya - 1 small.
• Coriander - to taste.
• Rice flour - 250 grams.
• Jeera - 10 grams.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:

Soak the Moong dal for around 2-3 hrs or till they are soft. Grate the Squash removing any big seeds. Add the chilli paste, Jeera, Salt Curry leaves cut into small pieces and coriander. Now by slowly pouring flour into the above mixture mix till we see that all the moisture from the squash is absorbed by the flour.No water needed. Mix the mixture till it is as Garela pindi. Add the moong dal n sesame seeds. Take a plastic cover to make the patties n fry in oil. till golden brown. garelu will puff up n are soft to eat crispy at the ends.
