Ingredients used in Soya Chunk Curry
• Chilli powder - half tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Soya chunks - half cup.
• Oil - 4 as required.
• Fenugreek - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Green chilli - 1 number.
• Coconut - 1/2 cup.
• Pepper - 1 tea spoon.
• Saunf - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Jeera - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Garlic - 1 or 2 cloves.
• Tomato - 1 number.
• Onion - 1 number.
• Corriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 3 springs.
• Corriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Crushed pepper - few number.
Method:
  • Boil water for 2 minutes and add soya chunks and salt and continue boiling for 5 minutes.
  • Filter water and crush soya chunks to dry and cut into small pieces.
  • Add chili powder, salt and corriander powder to soya chunks and mix well and keep it for 30 minutes.
  • Fry the soya chunks mixture with less amount of oil. Keep the fried soya chunks aside.
  • Add oil in the pan and add fenugreek, jeera and curry leaves, add onion and fry till it gets transparent and add tomato.
  • Mix coconut, garlic cloves, pepper and saunf in a blender and add mixer to the onion and tomato fry, after few minutes add fried soya chunks and crushed pepper and water(if needed). Cook till it becomes gravy..
