STUFFED POINTED GOURD - BARWAN PARVAL

Ingredients used in STUFFED POINTED GOURD - BARWAN PARVAL
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Amchur powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Chana powder (roasted ) - 2 tablespoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 3 numbers.
• Raisins - 8 numbers.
• Turmeric - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Chilli powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Ginger (crushed ) - 1 tea spoon.
• Potato (grated ) - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Parval - 500 grams.
• Lemon juice - 1 tea spoon.
• Ghee - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • First, peel the skin of parval and slit them and scoop out the seeds.
  • Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions, and crushed ginger, grated potato, salt, turmeric, seeds of parval, raisins, chilli powder, coriander powder, green chillies, and mix it.
  • Then add roasted chana powder, 1/2 teaspoon of amchur powder, garam masala powder, lemon juice, mix it again, switch off the flame.
  • Stuff this mixture into the parvaland keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, and arrange the stuffed parval in a pan and lid on cook for some time on a slow flame.
  • At last, sprinkle garam masala, amchur powder, chopped coriander leaves on top and switch off the flame, and sprinkle lemon juice.

Serve hot this with rice, chapatti.

Pointed Gourd..OMG I can't believe such a small one ended up so cute like that on the pan. It looks like lot of work but really a awesome dish. I haven't made a Parval like that before and will definitely let you know when I make it.The garn
