Ingredients used in taro root chutney
• Mustard oil - 1/2 tsp to taste.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Green chillies - 3 piece.
• Shredded coconut (fresh) - 2 tablespoons.
• Taro root - 1/2 lbs.
• Salt - to taste.
• Cilantro - small.
• Sugar - 1 teaspoons.
Method:
In a blender add the peeled raw taro root, fresh shredded coconut, green chillies, mustard seeds, salt and sugar, and cilantro. Blend into a paste adding little amount of water. The consistency should neither be too thick nor too thin, it should be as if you can make a lump out of it; almost like idli chutneys. Now pour the mixture in a bowl and add a little bit of mustard oil according to taste. Mix it well with a spoon. The dish is ready to eat....Enjoy!!!!! I have tasted the dish in one of my friends home in Kolkata.
