Turkey Burgers Recipe, How To Make Turkey Burgers Recipe

Skillet cooked turkey burgers, you can really make these in which ever way you would want it. This is how I like it, you can put a lot of different ingredients into the ground mix. You can use fresh finely chopped peppers, coriander, ginger, garlic, there isn't a right way for this recipe.

Really delicious healthier alternative to ground beef (butter has some fat, as does the ketchup/bbq sauce).

TURKEY BURGERS

Main Ingredient : Turkey
Servings : 4 persons
Published date : November 18, 2016

Ingredients used in TURKEY BURGERS
• Ground turkey - 450 grams.
• Ground pepper - 1 tablespoon.
• Vegeta seasoning (optional:contains msg) - 1 tablespoon.
• Garlic powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Onion powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Egg - 1 piece.
• Panko (japanese bread crumbs) - 300 ml.
• Oil (canola, coconut, avocado) - 2 tablespoons.
• Butter(optional) - 2 tablespoons.
• Burger buns - 4 numbers.
• Sliced tomatoes/onions/beet root/lettuce - 4 slice.
• Cheese(swiss,pepperjack,cheddar,american) - 4 slice.
Method:
  • In a bowl, add your ground turkey, all your seasonings, Egg, and Panko crumbles and mix well together. If it is still a little wet, add more Panko crumbs. If you decide not to use Vegeta seasoning add double the amount of garlic and onion powder and some salt.
  • Form burger patties with your ground turkey mix.
  • Heat your skillet preferably cast iron. Add your oil, make sure it is an oil that can take high heat. Heat your skillet to a medium high.
  • Add your patties to your heated skillet and start cooking them on the one side. When it has a good char flip it over and then add your butter to the pan and it will cook with the burgers.
  • Then after that lower your heat to a medium so the burgers don't burn. Cook all the way through. Add your cheese before pull out your burgers, use which ever cheese you like, I like to use Swiss because its very easy to melt.
  • Set up your burger, use whichever ingredients you wish to use. I like to use a toasted burger bun, with a little bit of tomato ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onions, beet root, and barbeque sauce.
