VEGETABLE SAGU

Ingredients used in VEGETABLE SAGU
• Poppy seeds - 1-2 tablespoons.
• Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fennel seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cinnamon - 1 stick.
• Cloves - 3 numbers.
• Black pepper - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Cashew nut - 5 numbers.
• Ginger - 1 piece.
• Garlic - 5 cloves.
• Fresh coconut - 1/4 cup.
• Onions(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Carrots(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• French beans(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Potato(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Cauliflower - 1/2 cup.
• Green peas - 1/2 cup.
• Curd - 1/2 cup.
• Lime juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Coconut oil - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
  • Take a pan and add poppy seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and dry roast it.
  • Transfer into mixie jar and add green chillies, cashew nut, ginger, garlic, fresh coconut and blend into smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds, onions, salt, curry leaves and saute it for a 1 minute.
  • To it add paste and saute it, later add carrots, French beans, potato and saute it.
  • Add water and cook for 6-7 minutes, with lid on it.
  • Add blanched cauliflower, fresh green peas and mix it.
  • Add curd and mix nicely, check for seasoning and add lime juice, coconut oil.
  • Atlast add coriander leaves and mix thoroughly.

Now vegetable sagu is ready to serve.
