Recipe of Lamb Fry

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Onions 1 Large
Oil 1 Tablespoons
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tablespoons
Turmeric Powder 1 Pinch
Sliced Chillies 3 Numbers
Salt 1 Pinch
Red Chillie Powder 1 Teaspoons
Curry Leaves 10 Leaf
Cumin Seeds 1 Pinch
Cumin Powder 1 Teaspoons
Coriander Powder 1 Teaspoons
Chopped Coriander 1 Bunch
Garlic 4 Piece
Lamb 1 Lbs
Peppercorns 8 Piece
Butter 1 Tablespoons

  1. In a heavy bottom pan add some oil and when oil is hot add garam masala. When it splutters add cumin seeds add chop onions for this preparation.
  2. We don't have to brown the onions and add turmeric and ginger garlic paste and once the ginger garlic paste is cooked add nicely clean cubes of lamb or mutton and add little water to it and cook till meat is tender. Make sure your lamb is fully cooked as we are not going to cook this lamb in a gravy or anything.
  3. Take some garlic and little bit of cumin seeds and peppercorns grind it. Next melt the butter and mix in the grinded powders, after 5 seconds add green chili and curry leaves. Add red chili powder 1/2tsp, cumin powder 1/2 tsp, and coriander powder 1/2 tsp. After adding these to the lamb  we use the bigger pan for evaporating the moisture.
  4. Add the chopped coriander to garnish and add little lime juice to it.

Sanjay, I am a big fan of you. Let me know what I felt after preparing the dish. The meat after boiling itself (even before frying) becomes a delicious dish. I used pork instead. I chose a Saturday evening after a busy week. Prepared this dish. Sat down with a small glass of Merlot. And was watching 'Lawrence of Arabia' in big screen. It was blissssssssss. God bless you.
