Description: Sukha aloo or potatoes nicely cubed and dry fried with Indian spices, Sukha Aloo, sukha mean dry fry and aloo is potato. Aloo or potato is one of the most favorite vegetable of all especially the kids. Sukha Aloo is an important dish on the Navaratri festival platter and this dish is popular with people of all age groups.A simple yet irresistible dish of potatoes spiced with cumin seeds.

Recipe of Sukha Aloo

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Coriander Powder 1/4 Teaspoons
Green Chillis 4 Numbers
Butter 1 Tablespoons
Turmuric 1/4 Teaspoons
Cumin Seeds pinch
Onion Sliced 1 Numbers
Coriander Leaves 1 Bunch
Curry Leaves 1 Bunch
Garlic 5 Numbers
Ginger 1 Numbers
Potato Boiled 2 Numbers
Cumin Powder 1/4 Teaspoons
Chilli Powder as per taste
Salt as needed


  1. In a pan add butter, cumin seeds, onion,salt, garlic,ginger, green chillies, turmuric, mix well then add curry leaves, coriander leaves chopped cook for few min ,then add cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder mix well, 
  2. Then add boiled potatos sliced mix well cook till potatos are slight golden brown colour

Your Receipe is excellent but I can not download to myflash drive, whic I was able to do before. If you want to charge for download, please go ahead, but start allowing downloads. People like me are sure willpay for the cause. Thank you. Again, I made shuka aloo and it is great.
