Description: There are probably many recipes for tomato rice. This is a south Indian recipe for tomato rice (bhath) that really like every one. Serve with papadams and yoghurt.

Recipe of Tomato bath

Ginger Chopped 1 inch Piece
Onion (medium Size) 1 Numbers
Green Chilly Chopped 3 Numbers
Hing 1 Pinch
Cashew Nuts 5 Grams
Urad Daal 1 Teaspoons
Chana Daal 1 Teaspoons
Cumin Seeds 1/4 Teaspoons
Mustard Seeds 1/4 Teaspoons
Tomatoes 2 Cup
Water 3 Cup
Rava (semolina) 1 Cup
Curry Leaves 2 Springs
Salt To Taste
Turmeric 1 Pinch
Lime Juice 1 Tablespoons

Directions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds is splutter, add cumin seeds, chana daal, Urad daal, cashew nuts, cook this cashew nuts gets golden in colour,
  2.  add hing chopped green chilly, chopped onions, chopped ginger, curry leaves, turmeric, salt, tomatoes, water, comes to boil squeeze lime juice
  3.  and add semolina (dry roast them) mix this well put the lid on let it cook for 3 minutes, switch off the flame, let it rest for 3 minutes then serve it.
  4.  Serve this with gun powder, peanut chutney, and sugar.
