Finger Millet Dumplings - Jonna Pindi Tho Punugulu

Ingredients used in Finger Millet Dumplings - Jonna Pindi Tho Punugulu
• Finger millet flour - 1 cup.
• Wheat flour - 1/2 cup.
• Curd/yogurt - 1 cup.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Onion (finely chopped) - 1 number.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 number.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Prepare a batter of finger millet flour, wheat flour along with curd and let it for about 3-4 hours.
  • Then season it with sesame seeds, chopped ginger, turmeric powder, finely chopped onion, green chilies.
  • To it even add red chili powder, salt along with some more curd and half teaspoon of oil, mix all this well.
  • At last, drop this batter into the small dumpling and deep fry in hot oil till color changes to light brown.
