Ingredients used in Guisado Repolyo (sauteed cabbage)
• Cabbage - 1 number.
• Pork - 250 grams.
• Shrimp - 1/4 cup.
• Onion - 1 number.
• Tomato - 2 numbers.
• Garlic - 3 cloves.
• Vegetable broth (or water) - 1 cup.
• Black pepper powder - to taste.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Wash cabbage well. Drain and sliced. Set aside.
  • In a pan, heat oil. Add pork and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until the color is no longer pink.
  • Then add chopped garlic, onions and tomatoes. Saute for a few minutes until it becomes soft and wilted.
  • Now add shrimp and cook for another minute.
  • Pour in broth or water. Season to taste.
  • Bring to boil and then simmer. Add sliced cabbage and stir for a few minutes or until cabbage is crisp-tender (being careful not to over cook it).

Remove from heat and serve.
