Ingredients used in Hyderabadi Till ka khatta for khichdi
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilly - 3 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - ½ tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - ½ tea spoon.
• Onion sliced - 1 number.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Peanuts - 100 grams.
• Sesame seeds - 100 grams.
• Coriander chopped - 1/4 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Heat a pan add sesame seeds, Peanuts, dry roast them and add water make a paste, in this add tamarind juice, slices of onions.
  • For tempering: heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilly, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, chopped coriander, mix it.
  • Pour this into the mixture and add salt, mix it well and serve it.

Serve this with kichadi

Another great combo for the kichidi is with pachi pulusu (without the sesame/peanuts) and rest of the recipe is the same as Khatta
