Ingredients used in Minapappu Choor Pongal
• Rice - 1 cup.
• Black gram - 1 cup.
• Garlic ( chopped ) - 1 tea spoon.
• Fresh grated coconut - 1 tablespoon.
• Water - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
• Sesame oil - as required.
• Pepper corn - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cashewnuts - 1 tea spoon.
• Hing - 1 tea spoon.
• Raisins - 10 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 2 spring.
Method:
  • Boil water in a pan, add rice and let it boil.
  • Dry roast black gramand cook by adding it to the above pan.
  • Then add chopped garlic, fresh grated coconut and mix it well.
  • Now add 1 cup of water, salt to the same pan and cook it for about 5 minutes.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan, add pepper corn, cumin seeds, cashew nuts, hing, raisins, curry leaves and sauté it well.
  • Then add this mixture to the previous pan, cook it for about 2 minutes and serve it hot.
