Ingredients used in Pala bakshyalu
• Bengal gram (soaked ) - 500 grams.
• Jaggery - 500 grams.
• Sooji rava - 500 grams.
• Milk - 500 ml.
• Dry ginger powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Fennel seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Coconut grated - 1 cup.
• Poppy seeds - 1 cup.
• Oil - 500 ml.
• Plastic paper - 1 numbers.
Method:
  • Make the dough of sooji with little oil in it and keep it aside.
  • Boil soaked bengal gram in cooker or any other vessel then blend jaggery to make fine powder
  • Make fine powder of fennel seeds and dry ginger.
  • Strain water completely from boiled bengal gram and add jaggery, dry ginger, fennel seeds powder and make a thick paste in grinder.
  • Then make small balls of this mixture and keep it aside.
  • Take soaked sooji into a plate and make small balls of it.
  • Now take the rolling pin and plastic sheet to make small puri.
  • Then stuff the mixture in poori and seal it, then again make poori.
  • Now place a pan on stove to cook the puri on both sides with ghee.
  • After cooking sprinkle some grated coconut and poppy seeds on it.
  • Then Soak them in hot milk.Now tasty dish is ready to serve.
