SOYA AND ALOO KURMA

Ingredients used in SOYA AND ALOO KURMA
• Potato(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Soya chunks - 1/2 cup.
• Coconut (grated) - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Onion (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Poppy seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Cashew nuts - 8 no.
• Tomato (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Garam masala powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green peas - 1/4 cup.
Method:
  • Take soya chunks and place in boiling water for 5 mins, squeeze water and keep aside.
  • Heat pan and dry roast poppy seeds, cashew nuts, grated coconut and saute it, later transfer into blender and make a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in the same pan, add onions, little salt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, curry leaves and let it cook for half a minute. Then season with coriander powder, red chili powder and saute it.
  • To it, add poppy seeds mixture paste, little water and mix nicely and saute it.
  • Later add potato, little water cook it for 4 minutes with closed lid.
  • Add soya chunks, chopped tomatoes, water and cook by stirring occasionally for about 2 minutes, check for seasoning.
  • Then add garam masala, green peas. Place lid and cook it, later add coriander leaves and mix it well.

Now Soya and aloo kurma is ready to serve.
