Ingredients used in Semiya Murukku
• Vermicelli (semiya) - 2/3 cup.
• Rice flour - 1 cup.
• Carom seeds (ajwain) - half tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  1. Boil water in a pan add semiya, after two minutes, strain water and keep it aside.
  2. Take a bowl, add semiya, carom seeds (optional), turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix it.
  3. Add rice flour and one teaspoon of hot oil then mix nicely like a crumble. Add little water and mix it like a dough.
  4. Make portions and place it in murukku press and press it in hot oil. Fry them and transfer into a plate.

Now Semiya Murukku is ready to serve.
