- Boil water in a pan add semiya, after two minutes, strain water and keep it aside.
- Take a bowl, add semiya, carom seeds (optional), turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix it.
- Add rice flour and one teaspoon of hot oil then mix nicely like a crumble. Add little water and mix it like a dough.
- Make portions and place it in murukku press and press it in hot oil. Fry them and transfer into a plate.
Now Semiya Murukku is ready to serve.
