Ingredients used in chana masala
• Coriander seeds - cumin seeds powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomatoes - 2 big.
• Onions - 2 big.
• Garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Butter - (2-3) tablespoons.
• Kabuli chanas(chick peas) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander leaves for garnishing - 1 bunch.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Soak chickpeas overnight or for at least 8 to 10 hours.
  • Take some butter in a cooker. Add the chopped onions, ginger paste, garlic paste, saute till onions turn transparent.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and stir it for some time.
  • Then add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, garam masala, chilipowder, mix well.
  • In it, even add the kabuli chana along with some water such that all the ingredients are properly soaked. Pressure cook till the chick peas is cooked.
  • At last, garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot.
