Ingredients used in Ragi Millet Murukku
• Ragi flour - 1 cup.
• Rice flour - 1/2 cup.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Butter - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
  • Take a bowl, add ragi flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, garam masala, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, sesame seeds, red chilli powder, salt, butter and mix nicely.
  • Using water, make it to a murukku dough.
  • Heat oil in a pan, take portion of dough then place it in murukku press and deep fry in hot oil.
  • Transfer into a plate allow it rest it.

Now Ragi Millet Murukku is ready to serve

Very similar to the "churros" we have in Texas, except they're more of a sweet dough covered in cinnamon, and they're just made with plain wheat flour. No way I'd ever be able to find millet flour here, but I bet chickpea flour
