Ingredients used in UNNIYAPPAM
• Rice - 1 cup.
• Jaggery - 1 cup.
• Pepper - 10 numbers.
• Ghee - 3 teaspoons.
• Banana - 2 numbers.
• Dry coconut(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Cardamon powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Wheat flour - 1 tablespoon.
• Milk - ½ cup.
Method:
  • Soak the rice for 2 hours and strain the water completely and put in the blender and blend into a fine powder and transfer it into the siever.
  • Now separate the fine powder and coarse powder.
  • Take the blender and add jaggery and pepper and make the smooth paste and add banana and blend again to a smooth paste.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add dry coconut and saute it.
  • Take the bowl and add fine powder, cardamom powder, coconut with ghee, wheat flour, jaggery mixture paste and add milk sufficient to make the unniyappam.
  • Heat ghee in the unniyappam pan and pour the batter using a spoon and place the lid on it and cook it on both sides on slow flame.

hi...pls keep the batter at room temperature for 4-5 hrs ,,only then u will be able to make soft unniyappam?
