Description: Garam Garam Onion Pakora is an all-time favorite starter snack in most Indian party menu. It is also known as “Kanda Bhajia” in North India. This can be prepared in very less time & makes a mouthwatering combo with hot coffee.


Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Cooking Soda Pinch
Coriander Seeds, Broken 1 Tablespoons
Ajwain Pinch
Garam Masala Powder Pinch
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 Teaspoons
Hing (asafoetida) Pinch
Cumin Seeds 1/2 Teaspoons
Green Chillies, Crushed 1/2 Teaspoons
Onions, Finely Sliced 2 Numbers
Besan Atta (chickpea Flour) 4-5 Tablespoons
Salt To Taste
Oil For Deep Frying


1. Finely chop onions and put them in a bowl.
2.  Add little salt and mix the onions well so that it becomes soft. In the same bowl, add crushed green chillies, cumin seeds, hing, chilli powder and pinch of garam masala, ajwain, broken coriander seeds, cooking soda and mix it well. In this
3. add enough besan (chickpea flour) and mix well to make soft dough. Heat oil in a kadai and when the oil is hot, drop the onion bhajias in batches and deep fry on medium flame until they are crisp and turn golden in colour.
4.  drain oil and serve hot as starters or snack.
