BABY POTATO AND SABUDHANA BIRYANI

Ingredients used in BABY POTATO AND SABUDHANA BIRYANI
• Sabudana (soaked) - 1 cup.
• Baby potatoes (half cut) - 8 number.
• Oil - to fry.
• Bay leaf - 1 number.
• Cinnamon - 2 numbers.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cloves - 5 numbers.
• Mace - 2 numbers.
• Lichen stone flower - 1 number.
• Star anise - 1 numbers.
• Shahi jeera - 1/2 tablespoon.
• Onions - 2 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chilli paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Red chilli powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Mint(chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Yogurt - 1 cup.
• Peanut powder - 1/2 cup.
• Lemon - 1/2 number.
• Fried onions - 1 tablespoons.
• Ghee - 1 tea spoon.
• Saffron water - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Soak sabudana in water for 2-3 hours.
  • Take Half cooked potatoes and keep it aside.
  • In a pan add oil for deep frying the potatoes and let it fry.
  • Take another pan add oil, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and saute it little bit.
  • Then add mace, lichen stone flower, star anise, shahi jeera, sliced onions and saute it.
  • Then add salt, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and saute it, later add coriander leaves, mint and yogurt to mix it nicely.
  • After few minutes add fried potatoes to the mixture and cover it then keep aside for dum.
  • Take small kadai add oil, mint, coriander leaves, salt, sabudana, peanut powder for coating and then roast it.
  • Now take the dum mixture add lime juice, then add sabudana mixture and later add ghee, saffron and simmer it for 12-15minutes.
  • Now transfer into a serving plate then sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and add fried onions.
