For this yummy and delicious Chinese sticks, firstly boil, peel and mash potatoes. Add salt to taste. Chop carrots and beans into very fine pieces and keep aside. Chop cabbage very finely. Add salt and keep aside for 5 – 10 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water.
Chop capsicum finely. Crumble bread pieces and keep aside. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan, add chopped carrots and beans. Stir fry and then add cabbage, capsicum, one teaspoon ajinomoto, crushed green chilies and salt to taste. Stir fry and remove from heat and cool.
To the mashed potato, add the cooled vegetable mixture and crumbled bread pieces and mix well. Make lemon sized balls and shape like 2-3 inches sticks and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain the excess oil on paper towel and serve hot with either tomato or chilli sauce. Chinese stick can also be served with any dip.
