Almond Cookies are truly exotic, yummiest and divine type of nutty cookies that kids as well as we grownups would grab for. Perfectly toasted almond flakes add up that extra crunchy and nutty flavour. This homemade treat has few ingredients and you can just make it in few minutes. They are the perfect goodies that you could make up as last minute gift to offer. Almonds are a versatile nut that is often added to both sweet and savory dishes.

In India, they are extensively used in Mughlai and Hyderabadi cuisines to make their gravies and curries rich in taste. The almond or badam paste is the base ingredient to various pasanda or qorma style curries. Almonds are also used for preparing a very popular and rich dish namely Badam Halwa. Almond flakes are also often added to garnish an array of sweets such as sohan burfi, kaju katli, laddus etc which are usually visible over the outer surface.

Almonds can be eaten on their own, raw or roasted. They are power-packed with amazing health benefits. They are good source of vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber. They are rich source of vitamin E, copper, magnesium and high quality protein. Generally nuts and seeds are considered to be the richest in fiber. Do encourage your kids in baking this fantastic cookies and I am sure they will not require your help the next time.

I liked this segment. However I did find it very long though, and I skipped through to the instructional parts. Lastly, I didnt like that the kids were so scripted?
