Ingredients used in DOUBLE CHILLI CHICKEN
• Chicken(pieces) - 250 grams.
• Lemon juice - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2-3 tablespoons.
• Red chillies - 5-6 numbers.
• Onions(chopped) - 1 cup.
• Crystal salt - to taste.
• Red chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tablespoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Lime juice - 1 tea spoon.
  • Brine chicken with little lemon juice, salt, water overnight.
  • Take a pan and add oil, red chilies and cook it, later add onions, little crystal salt, curry leaves, and saute it.
  • To it, add red chili powder, coriander powder and saute it.
  • Add chicken and mix nicely, cook it for 15 -20 minutes on slow flame with lid on it, frequently saute it for every 3-4 minutes.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, add coriander leaves, squeeze lime juice and mix nicely.

Now double chili chicken is ready to serve.

Double Chilli Chicken

Double Chilli Chicken is easy to prepare Double Chilli Chicken is an excellent non-vegetarian curry dish that is spicy to eat and gives a double shot of heat to the palate. Eat this with rice or as it is and enjoy the explicit flavor of red chillies. This dish suits best for all those people who love to relish spicy food. Double Chilli Chicken is easy to prepare where dry red chillies are sautéed in oil to infuse its flavors and then chicken is cooked along with various seasoning in medium to low heat so that the savor slowing gets into the chicken and coats well all over the chicken. Chicken is one of the most sought after poultry food that kids love eating. Kids love eating varied fried snacks like fried chicken, chicken nugget, chicken 65, tandoori chicken, chicken Manchurian, pepper chicken and the list is just never ending. 

Double Chilli Chicken can be served as starters or with rice, roti etc. It tastes extremely good with fiery flavors. Most of the Chicken fried recipes are easy to prepare and tempts each and every one as the fragrance and aroma lingering around the kitchen while preparing craves for more. Generally in the Chettinad style of cooking this type of dish is made using lamb. Recipe of Double Chilli Chicken:


 Chicken pieces                                   -        250 gms

Lemon juice                                        -        1 tbsp

Salt                                                        -        to taste

Oil                                                         -        2-3 tbsp

Red chilies                                          -        5-6 nos

Onions, chopped                              -        1 cup

Crystal  Salt                                        -        to taste

Red chilli pd                                       -        ½ tsp

Coriander pd                                      -        ¼ tsp

Coriander leaves, chopped             -        1 tbsp 


  1. Brine Chicken in water, salt and little lemon juice overnight.
  2. Take a pan and add oil, dry red chillies and cook it.
  3. Later add chopped onions, rock salt and sauté well. Add chilli pd, coriander pd and sauté well.
  4. Add chicken pieces and mix thoroughly. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes over slow flame.
  5. Keep stirring in between for every 4-5 mins.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, add chopped coriander leaves and mix.
  7. The double Chilli Chicken is ready to serve.

We all very well know that red chilli is very spicy in nature and adds heat and flavor to any meal. But besides this, red chillies also add nutritive elements to our food. Red chilli is a culinary spice and a powerhouse of nutrition containing vitamin C and carotene in high levels. Red chilies are rich in vitamin A, B and minerals and provides many health benefits. oh my goodness this is a good and very inspiring video. those chilis and onions and coriander get me thinking about the sauce on some nice rice with that juicy-looking chicken. i am so hungry, dinner will be great tonight.?
