Chicken is a very popular food throughout the country as well as the world, hence no wonder there are a multitude ways of preparing chicken delicious and nutritious. From a simple chicken curry to making an appetizing and exotic tandoori chicken or chicken 65 is most appreciated and valued by all ages of people. Chicken 65, Vah! It’s one of those popular dishes prepared in most of the dhabas and restaurants.
I remember that whenever we friends visited the dhabas it was the Chicken 65 that was first ordered by most of us and is also the dish most adorable to the kids. Chicken 65 can be baked dry, crispy deep fried or stir fried. It purely depends on your taste that you like. Chicken 65 is a spicy, red, deep fried chicken chunks served as bar snack, entrée or quick appetizer accompanied by onion slices, slit green chilies and lemon wedges.
The preparation of Chicken 65 differs from one place to another according to their taste. Chicken 65 can be prepared with or without bones. The flavor and strong fragrance of the dish comes from garlic, ginger, pepper powder, and other spices although the recipe can vary from person to person as per their liking. Chicken 65 cooked in air is one of the most creative and healthy methods of cooking the dish.
This is a fantastic snack dish made in Phillips air fryer using just a tsp of oil yet is extremely delicious to taste and has a nice crunch on the outer side and juicy inside that bursts with flavours on bite. The savour and strong essence of this dish comes from a mix of amazing spices like pepper powder, garam masala, vinegar etc and finally addition of green chillies and curry leaves a brilliant zest to the chicken pieces.
Do try preparing the Chicken 65 cooked in air and you will surely realize the wonderful taste and the essence of spices hitting your palate. This is a quick, yummy way of making the dish that can be served at kitty parties or get-togethers.
How to prepare Chicken 65 – Philips SuperChef:
Ingredients:
Chicken breast – 250 gms
Turmeric powder - pinch
Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
Pepper powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Kashmiri chili powder – 1 tsp
Vinegar – 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Ginger – 1” piece
Garlic – 5 -6 cloves
Egg white – 1 tsp
Rice flour – 1 tsp
All-purpose flour – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Curry leaves –2-3 sprigs
Green chilies, Slit - 3-4 nos
Directions:
In a bowl add in the chicken pieces. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, Kashmiri chili powder, vinegar and mix all the spices well to coat the chicken pieces. Add a little salt and mix well. Blend few fresh ginger and garlic pieces and grind to a nice paste. Add this to the chicken pieces and mix well. Take in 1 tsp of egg white and mix well. Add 1 tsp of rice flour, 1 tsp of all-purpose flour and mix well.
Add 1 tsp of oil and mix again. Mix and coat the chicken pieces evenly with the spices and rest for about 4-5 hrs. Preheat the air fryer at 180 degrees C for 5 minutes. Drop all the chicken pieces into the air fryer basket and fry for another 6-8 minutes. After 4 minutes, remove the basket toss the pieces and fry again for about 3 minutes. Pull the basket out and add in some slit green chilies and curry leaves and fry for about 3-4 minutes.
Remove and transfer the chicken pieces into a serving plate and serve hot. Healthy eating of chicken will provide with enormous health benefits as it is a rich source of a variety of essential nutrients and vitamins that assist in strengthening the immune system of the body. It is also considered as the safest meats available with least side-effects on consumption. Chicken is a very good source of lean, high-quality protein.

White meat means meat of stomach and dark meat means meat in legs surrounding. .The white meat is famous in foreign country and in India we give more preferred to dark meat?
