INSTANT OATS DOSA - HORLICKS OATS

Ingredients used in INSTANT OATS DOSA - HORLICKS OATS
• Banana (chopped) - 1 number.
• Wheat flour - 1 cup.
• Baking soda - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Butter(cubes) - 2-3 numbers.
• Water - as required.
• Dates (sliced) - 1/4 cup.
• Milk - 1 cup.
• Ice cubes - 4-5 numbers.
• Oats - 3 cups.
• Carrot (grated) - 1 cup.
• Crushed pepper - 1 tea spoon.
• All-purpose flour (maida) - 1 cup.
• Semolina - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Wheat flour (optional) - 1/2 cup.
• Honey (optional) - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method:

Preparation of Banana Milk shake:

  • In a blender, add chopped banana, sliced dates, milk, ice cubes, oats (half cup) and grind to a juicy consistency.

Preparation of Carrot Oats Gavalu:

  • Grind 1 cup of oats to a fine powder, later transfer to a bowl.
  • Now, prepare a dough by adding oats powder, all-purpose flour, grated carrot, semolina, crushed pepper, pinch of salt, butter and mix well.
  • Then using a fork or gavala machine, make it in gavala shape and deep fry in hot oil.

Serve it with any spicy dip.

Preparation of Oats Dosa:

  • Grind oats to fine powder and transfer to a bowl.
  • In it, add oats, wheat flour (optional), baking soda, salt, butter, honey (optional) and mix well.
  • Now, by adding water, make it like a dosa batter.
  • Heat a pan, add ladleful of dosa batter and spread it in circular shape.
  • At last, season with oats and butter on top of it and roast it well.

Serve it hot with any chutney.

Recipe of Instant Oats Dosa:

Ingredients:

Oats                         -        1 cup

Wheat flour           -        1-2 tbsp

Baking pd              -        1-2 tsp

Salt                          -        to taste

Butter cubes         -        2-3 nos

Water                      -        as required 

Directions:

  1. Blend ¾ oats into powder in a mixie jar and transfer the mixture into a bowl.
  2. To it add oats, wheat flour, baking powder, salt, butter and mix nicely.
  3. Add water and mix thoroughly to make dosa batter consistency.
  4. Heat a pan and pour a ladleful of batter and spread evenly into round dosa.
  5. Over the dosa, sprinkle oats, butter and cook.
  6. Once done transfer into a serving plate and serve with coconut chutney.

 A little change in your food habits and intake of right balanced nutritious foods would do wonders to keep you fit and healthy.
